After a trial period of the HyXchange exchange platform initiative, the renewable hydrogen guarantees of origin (GO) start to be issued from October 2022. The company Vertogas, a subsidiary of Gasunie that already provides Guarantees of Origin for biogas, was designated by the Minister to do the same for hydrogen, and has created a certification system. This system is currently valid only in the Netherlands, and the platform is supported by several companies among which Gasunie, the Port of Rotterdam and the Port of Amsterdam.
