In October 2022, the Peruvian government proceeded to an exceptional provision of capital to Petroperú, worth in total PEN 4 billion, as well as a PEN 500 million loan guarantee.

Both support is meant to ensure the state state-owned company's capacity to maintain domestic supply in petroleum products-notably through imports- in the global energy crisis context.
