Critical Non-Fuel Mineral Resources for India's Manufacturing Sector is an unofficial strategic plan created by India's Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, aiming to assess the impacts of potential supply constraints on critical minerals for the Indian manufacturing sector.
The study identifies an unofficial list of critical minerals and analyses their role in India’s manufacturing sector, with a focus on India’s resource requirements until 2030. The report advocates for enhanced exploration and research and development in mining and mineral processing technologies as well as in recycling, and finding substitutes for critical minerals. The report also briefly covers the significance of enhancing international trade and diplomatic agreements regarding critical minerals.
