The Power Generation Partner Program allows SaskPower, the government-owned enterprise to purchase the electricity generated from a list of renewable and low-carbon sources in Saskatchewan. One of the sources is associated gas.

Entities need to apply for the program, given they meet a list of eligibility criteria. Eligible flare gas must directly correspond to a demonstrable reduction in flaring or venting at a defined location(s) where the gas had previously and would continue to be flared or vented.
