This draft standard establishes the limits of maximum consumption of electrical energy per litre of refrigerated volume. It applies to self-contained commercial refrigerators powered by electricity: vertical refrigerators with one or more front doors with a capacity of 25 liters or more; horizontal refrigerators, horizontal freezers, and vertical freezers with a capacity of 50 liters or more; closed display refrigerators and ice storage bin with a capacity of 100 liters or more.
