The Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund is one of the four funding stream within the Low Carbon Economy Fund. It aims at providing funding to provinces and territories to meet Canada’s 2030 climate goals, in line with their own circumstances.
The "notional allocation" part of the Leadership Fund is meant to supporrt projects enabling GHG emission reductions, notably:
equipment retrofits for energy efficiency and fuel switching
organics diversion
industrial process emissions changes
industrial product use changes
The Home Heating Oil Transition funding part of the Leadership Fund is meant to enable low-income households in transitioning away from home heating oil.
