As part of it's Plan for Jobs 2020, the UK government will provide £100 million of new funding for research and development in direct air capture (DAC) technologies. DAC captures CO2 emissions from the air, which is key for the decarbonization of hard to decarbonize sectors, such as industry and heavy transport.
