The first Low Emission Technology Statement (LETS), for 2020, is centred in identifying Australia’s big technology challenges and opportunities that will develop low-emission technologies.
It includes a 1.9 billion AUD investment package in future technologies to lower emissions and improve the reliability of the energy supply, as well as 1.62 billion AUD for the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to invest and expand its focus and for the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) to back new technologies that will cut emissions in agriculture, manufacturing, industry and transport.
