Details

The CfD Clean Industry Bonus (CIB) means fixed and floating offshore wind applicants can obtain extra CfD revenue support if they choose to invest in more sustainable supply chains:

  • the CIB allocation framework sets out how to apply for a Clean Industry Bonus, and how funding will be allocated
  • the CIB guidance sets out the process for receiving CIB payments, and other matters related to the delivery of CIB commitments
  • the application sheet and supplier statement templates are documents that eligible generators should use when preparing their application
  • this page also contains the Interim Offshore Wind Fair Work Charter, applicable to AR8 This is not a government document, it was negotiated by the offshore wind industry and trade unions. It is however featured on this space so that all documents relevant to the CIB application process are stored in one location

How to apply

The CIB window will open on 13 May 2026 and will close on 21 May 2026.

Background

We developed the Allocation Framework, Guidance and application documents with feedback from industry over the winter 2025-2026 period. These amendments reflect policy changes from Allocation Round 7 consulted on in summer of 2025.
