TGA extends road transport compliance deadline to February 2027

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has extended several regulatory compliance deadlines for road transport companies operating in freight and private passenger bus services until Feb. 27, 2027, giving businesses additional time to meet requirements under the Kingdom’s Land Transport Law.Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Transport General Authority Saleh Al-Jasser issued two decisions covering commercial and non-commercial heavy and light freight transport as well as private passenger transport by bus.The first decision extends the deadline for private passenger bus operators to add newly introduced activity classifications to their commercial registrations, a requirement for obtaining operating licenses.It also gives operators additional time to align their operations with regulatory requirements under the Land Transport Law and its implementing regulations.The second decision extends deadlines for commercial and non-commercial heavy freight operators to meet several requirements, including changing vehicle registration classifications from “private transport” to “public transport” and obtaining vehicle operating cards.Commercial and non-commercial light freight op
