The Grand Ducal regulation of 22 November 1995 (Mémorial A 99 of 27 December 1995) on mandatory insulation standards for new buildings came into force on 1 January 1996. Its implementation is monitored by certified architects or engineers (WÃ¤rneschutznachweis) attesting that the insulation standards have been taken into consideration. In case of non-compliance, penalties are imposed and can mean cancellation of work.
