This notice requires public institutions to undergo regular energy audits. These energy audits encompass the inspection, verification, technical and economic analysis and evaluation of energy use systems, equipment operation, management and energy use of public institutions in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and standards as well as recommendations for improved energy use.
Every five years an energy audit shall be conducted for public institutions and central government offices that have:
annual energy consumption of more than 500 tce; or
annual electricity consumption of more than 2 million kWh; or
floor area that is greater than 10.000 m3
