Transposition into state law of the Energy Conservation Building Code 2018, aiming at reducing energy consumption demand by 30%. The implementation will happen after the incorporation of the provisions in the Town & Country Planning Rule. All commercial buildings above 750 sqm will need a permission based on the compliance with the provision of this code. Climate zones in Himachal Pradesh were divided into two categories (above and under 1600 m from the sea level) which will follow, accordingly, the requirements for cold climate conditions and composite climate conditions.
