The Royal Decree 837/2002 is the Spanish transposition of the Directive relating to the availability of consumer information on fuel economy and CO2 emissions in respect of the marketing of new passenger cars. In accordance to this Directive, the Royal Decree 837/2002 regulates the information of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new vehicles to be sold or rented. These vehicles are those of category M1, defined in Annex II of Directive 70/156/CEE and with application of Directive 80/1268/CEE. The above information will be shown ont he basis of labels, a handbook, posters and promotional material.
