The law declares the right of a government to expropriate private property for renewable energy projects - particularly for hydro, biomass and solar - for public use, with payment of compensation.
The law also states that administrative procedures, legal processes, issuance of licenses, permits or registrations and any other activity required for the prompt execution of power generation projects with national renewable resources will be given priority.
