The Government of Rajasthan, in order to promote generation of power from Wind, implements the Policy for Promoting Generation of Electricity from Wind, 2012. The State Government may undertake review once again of this policy as and when the need arises in light of any new technology breakthrough or to remove inconsistency with the Electricity Act of 2003.

Wind power plants to be set up for direct sale to Discoms of Rajasthan

The State will promote the setting up of wind power plants of unlimited capacity for direct sale to Discoms of Rajasthan on the tariff determined through a competitive bidding process for the years 2013-14 and onward.
