The Decree (Decreto Supremo Nº 29894) establishes the Vice-Ministry of Electricity and Alternative Energy. This Vice-Ministry is mandated to develop policies for the promotion of renewable energy in Bolivia. The institution is mandated to collaborate with public universities in order to develop the renewable energy plan. The vice-ministry has been established under the ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy.
