Namibia Feed-in Tariff

In April 2015 Namibia started the Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff programme for biomass, solar PV and wind projects. Projects of 500 kW to 5 MW size are eligible for the support.

Feed-in tariff support is awarded for period of 20 years. Tariffs are paid in Namibian dollars and are referenced against USD.

Capacity corridors per each renewable technology were set. Namibia is set to deploy 30 MW of wind, 60 MW of solar PV and 60 MW of wind.
