On 25 th of March 2014 the government of Vietnam promulgated the Decision on support mechanisms for the development of combined heat and power (CHP) power plants using biomass. The mechanism took form of feed-in tariff and entered into force on 5 th of October 2014.

The tariff level is set to VND 1,220/kWh for eligible plants for period of 20 years.
