The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation Order regulates renewable fuels used for transport. Suppliers of relevant transport fuel in the UK (more than 450,000 l/y) must be able to show that a percentage of the fuel they supply comes from renewable and sustainable sources. Fossil and low carbon fuels used in road, non-road mobile machinery (NRMM), tractors as well as renewable fuels of non-biological origin used in maritime applications are covered by the RTFO
