This programme formed part of the electricity utilitys ten-year Development Plan for 1994-2003. The programme for renewables concerned wind energy, PV, geothermal energy and hydro power. According to the plan, a total of 306 MW installed capacity of large hydro, 17 MW small hydro and 37 MW of wind parks were in operation by 2003. These installations added about 85 ktoe to the amount of energy produced by renewables in Greece.
