India and France signed a Joint Declaration of Intent to strengthen cooperation in building resilient, sustainable and responsible critical mineral value chains. The Joint Declaration places specific emphasis on cooperation in exploration, mining, research and innovation, diversification of value chains, supply chain resilience and circularity.
Areas of cooperation set out in the Joint Declaration include:
identifying research and development opportunities across critical mineral value chains;
assessing and addressing potential supply chain disruptions;
promoting joint extraction, processing, recycling and infrastructure projects;
facilitating cooperation on mineral recovery and circularity; and
supporting collaboration in geological mapping, surveys and geoscientific research.
