The National Geology Plan 2021-2030, developed by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, empowers the Geological Service of Morocco (SGM) to manage and disseminate geoscientific data. The Plan is divided into four areas:
National geoscientific infrastructure to anticipate knowledge needs.
Digital infrastructure and advanced digital services.
Research programs across the different areas of SGM's mission.
Guaranteeing the sustainable development of SGM's capabilities.
Two of the main items of the plan are:
The development of platforms that integrate analysis services based on the National Geoscientific Information System, strengthening the dissemination, sharing, and exchange of geoscientific information.
In line with the Morocco Mines Plan 2021-2030, the establishment of the National Committee for Strategic Minerals and strategic subcommittees for the “Mining and Sector subcommittees.”
