Slovenia’s 2030 energy strategy (updated in 2023) includes hydrogen as a key element of the green transition. It estimates that 100 MW of electrolyzer capacity would be needed by 2030 increasing to 660 MW by 2050. Estimates EUR 223 million of cumulative investment in hydrogen infrastructure by 2030 (mostly for electrolyzers and pipelines) and EUR 1779 million by 2050. 2030 targets include the construction of two major electrolysis units (without a specified capacity)
