The Uruguayan government, through Resolution No. 294/022, has launched the “H2U Program” to promote the development of green hydrogen as a key component in the country’s energy transition. The program, managed by the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining, aims to leverage Uruguay’s renewable energy capabilities to produce green hydrogen, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support the decarbonization of the economy. Key goals include fostering innovation, attracting investments, building capacities, and enhancing international cooperation to position Uruguay as a leader in green hydrogen production and export
