Formerly called the “Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking”, it has now been renamed the “Clean Hydrogen Partnership”. The new public-private partnership objectives are to produce clean hydrogen at €1.5-3/kg and to reduce the distribution costs to less than €1/kg at scale. To achieve these goals, the partnership will be funded by €1 billion from the EU’s Horizon research funding and another €1 billion from industry partners.
