The Ministerial Decree of 15 September 2022 aims to promote the incentives for biomethane fed into the natural gas network through capital support (equal to a maximum of 40% of the expenses incurred) and an energy account incentive (incentive tariff applied to the net production of biomethane). The following can benefit from the incentives provided by the Ministerial Decree newly built biomethane production plants, agricultural or waste-based, and interventions for the reconversion to biomethane (total or partial) of existing agricultural electricity production plants fuelled by biogas. It will be possible to submit the communication of entry into operation for the request for access to incentives only for plants that have been placed in a useful position in the rankings of public competitive procedures drawn up by the GSE on the basis of specific access requirements and priority criteria.
