The Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has launched a ILS17bn (US$4.5bn) plan until 2030 to develop Israel’s electricity transmission network.
The plan includes:
Doubling the number of 400 kV transmission lines
Expanding 161 kV lines by 30%
Increasing the number of substations and switching stations by about 50%
Supporting the integration of renewable energy facilities into the grid
