The Emergency Decree enforced in 1973 gives the Prime Minister the right to direct companies to prevent all types of fuel shortages.
While the Emergency Decree specifically provided powers to address fuel shortages during times of crisis, the Fuel Trade Act, B.E. 2543 introduced broader regulations governing the fuel trade and market stability in Thailand.
