The Indian Ministry of Power extended the Inter-State Transmission Charges (ISTS) exemption for off-shore wind, as well as Green Hydrogen and Ammonia projects.
The ISTS waiver, passed in March 2019 and initially due to end on June 30, 2025, applies to off-shore wind projects commissioned on or before December 31, 2032 for a period of 25 years from the project commission date.
Projects using renewable energy, pumped storage system or battery storage systems commissioned on or before December 31, 2030 are also eligible for the ISTS waiver scheme.
