In September 2022, the Danish Government has issued an emergency subsidy of DKK 125 million to support regional public bus transport companies after COVID-19 and improve affordability of transport in current energy crisis. In October 2022, the Danish Government has also decided to provide public transport companies in 2023 with an extraordinary Covid-19 subsidy of DKK 140 million to support them in facing challenges with low passenger numbers and high energy prices.
