The Executive Council of Dubai launched the Integrated Waste Strategy 2021-2041 to encourage best practices in the field of waste management, energy conversion and recycling. Dubai is now investing in the construction of several infrastructure facilities to generate power from waste. Private actors, such as Dulsco, also commissioned a recovery facility in the Ras Al Khor industrial area of Dubai to establish a recycling processing plant of 80,000 tons in capacity per year.
