The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye introduced a new set of energy efficiency regulations for buildings as part of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (2017-2023). The main measure requires that buildings using more than 2,000 square meters have to meet the B energy efficiency category. Moreover, all new infrastructures must meet the requirement of being Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (NZEB) and being denied construction permits if these guidelines are not applied.
