On 27 May 2021, Latvian Ministry of Economy launched applications for a programme providing subsidies for energy efficiency improvements of one-apartment residential houses with a budget of EUR 2.37 million. The whole budget was spent during the first application round.
On 8 March 2022, the subsidy programme was extended to two-apartment houses and covering also installation of solar panels on residential houses with an additional budget of EUR 3.27 million.
In January 2023, the support programme received an extension with an additional funding of EUR 400 000 from the Latvian State Energy Efficiency Fund.
