The Ministry of Economy of Estonia allocated EUR 6.8 million to provide subsidies to industrial companies for connection of new renewable energy capacity to the grid. Companies can draw EUR 230 000 per each MWh connected to the grid in the maximum amount of one million euros per beneficiary. Subsidized projects must be connected to the grid within 3 years. The subsidies will be provided by the Center for Environmental Investments (KIK) and applications opened in December 2022.
