India's Green Energy Corridor - Intra-State Transmission System Phase-II (InSTS GEC-II) scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet in 2022. The scheme aims at grid integration and power transmission of 20 GW of renewable energy projects in seven states - Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

The project will be implemented over 5 years, with the goal of laying 10,750 circuit kilometres of electricity transmission lines by 2026.
