The purpose of this initiative is to assist federal organizations implement energy efficiency improvements in their facilities to reduce energy costs and GHG emissions through public-private partnerships with energy management firms. These energy management companies provide a turnkey service that includes engineering, third-party savings financing, comprehensive training packages and occupant awareness programs. The FBI provides an implementation model, supporting documents, information and advice to facilitate the development of such projects.
