In response to market supply issues caused by the war in Ukraine, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an emergency waiver in April 2022, allowing the sale of gasoline with a 15% blend of ethanol (E15) to increase the volume of gasoline available to consumers. The waivers will be issued on a 20-day basis until circumstances change.
