In an effort to cushion domestic consumers from the effects of the global energy crisis, the Swedish government will subsidise electricity price expenses, from December 2021 to February 2022. Compensation is based on monthly electricity consumption, with highest levels reaching 2000 kWh per month, and should benefit 1.8 million households .
