DOE's Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER) will award approximately USD 45 million for advanced genomics research with computation and user facility capabilities for basic science on plant and microbial systems relevant to national priorities in renewable energy and innovation in biotechnology. The subprogram supports basic biological research underpinning novel clean energy, carbon management and biotechnology solutions needed to address the climate crisis.
