Chile’s CORFO launched a $50 million co-funding program for hydrogen projects over 10 MW. Six projects totaling 388 MW were selected, with five signing contracts.
Key funded projects include:
AMER: $11.7M for an 80 MW electrolyzer to produce 60 ktpa of e-methanol in Antofagasta
Engie (HyEx): $9.5M for a 26 MW electrolyzer for renewable ammonia
GNL Quintero Bay: $5.7M for a 10 MW plant in Valparaíso (total investment: $30M)
H2V CAP: $3.6M for a 12 MW plant in Biobío
Projects were expected to start operations in 2025, but delays are likely.
