The Ministry of the Environment and the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic mobilised almost CZK 30 billion from the EU Modernisation Fund for renewable energy projects in the month of April. These will finance the construction of photovoltaic power plants in smaller municipalities, and thus start the development of community energy or modernize public lighting.
Newly defended funds from the Modernization Fund:
HEAT Program - Modernization of Thermal Energy Supply Systems - EUR 568 million (CZK 14 billion)
RES + Program - New Renewable Energy Sources - EUR 300 million (CZK 7 billion)
ENERG ETS Program - Improving Energy Efficiency and Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Industry in the EU ETS - EUR 254 million (CZK 6 billion)
LIGHTPUB Program - Modernization of Public Lighting Systems - EUR 40 million (CZK 1 billion)
