In February 2009, as part of measures aimed at supporting industrial sectors undergoing economic crisis, Italys Council of Ministers launched a temporary incentive scheme for residential buildings undertaking refurbishment. In particular the Decree includes a tax deduction equal to 20% of the additional expense incurred for the substitution of regular equipment with high efficiency appliances of at least of A+ efficiency class, including TV and computers.
