The U.S. Departments of Transportation and Energy announced nearly USD 5 billion over five years that will be made available under the new National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, which receives funding from the US Infrastructure and Jobs act, to make electric vehicle (EV) charging accessible to all Americans. The program will help states create a network of EV charging stations along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors, particularly along with the Interstate Highway System.
