The Geothermal Energy Plus Programme, to be continued in 2020 & 2021, aims at increasing the use of geothermal resources in Poland, by providing loans and subsidies to the following types of projects:
• the construction of new heating plants/heat and power plants/geothermal power plants or the expansion or modernisation of existing heating plants/heat and power plants/geothermal power plants, based on geothermal sources,
• the modernisation or expansion of existing heating plant/heat and power plants/geothermal power plants, based on geothermal sources,
• the execution or reconstruction of a geothermal borehole heat exchanger, excluding the execution of the first exploratory steps,
• “optional projects”, consisting in the construction, expansion and modernisation of installations and equipment to reduce the consumption of primary raw materials; projects to reduce the emissions of air pollutants; projects to improve air quality etc.
