As part of the green transition planned under the EU 2021-27 funding, Estonia intends to develop a hydrogen roadmap to accelerate the introduction of renewable-based hydrogen as an energy carrier in the market, including for consumption.

The aim is to test complete hydrogen chains, from hydrogen production to its final consumption in Estonian conditions, within the framework of pilot projects until 2026.
