The Federal Government launched the Greener Homes Grant to help homeowners increase the energy efficiency of their home and lowering their energy bills. Up to 700,000 grants of up to CAD 5,000 are available for energy efficient retrofits, plus up to CAD 600 for an EnerGuide home energy evaluation.
Eligible home upgrades include replacing windows and doors, adding insulation, sealing air leaks, improving heating and cooling systems (e.g., heat pumps), installing smart thermostats and solar panels.
