As of September 2021, halogen light bulbs will be banned, with fluorescent light bulbs to follow suit. This shift to LED bulbs will reduce CO2 emissions by 1.26 billion tones, and new efficiency standards for electrical appliances will help consumers save GBP 75 a year on their energy bills.
