The Austrian Recovery & Resilience Plan displays a set of measures designed to tackle the Covid-related economic crisis and to strengthen the Austrian growth potential, job creation, economic and social resilience. It does so by supporting the green and digital transition.
The plan is divided into 4 pillars. The first pillar is Sustainable Recovery (Nachhaltiger Aufbau). As part of this pillar, the plan sets a first target: the Renovation offensive. It plans the implementation of a new Renewable Heat Act. It will promote the replacement of oil and gas heating systems to more eco-friendly alternatives. It also aims to combat energy poverty by reducing energy expenditure and providing support to households.
The budget allocated to this component is equivalent to EUR 208.9 million
