The new label indicating the level of energy consumption of electrical and household appliances will be put in place on 1 March 2021.

The aim of the change is to keep pace with progress in energy performance and to stimulate the manufacture of ever more energy-efficient appliances.

Appliances concerned by this update are:

household washing machines and washe

dryers

televisions and computer screens

refrigeration equipment (refrigerators, freezers and wine cellars)

household dishwashers

Electric lamps will be added from 1 September 2021 and other categories will be added in the future.
